Mackenzie graduated from Northwestern University with a BS in Biomedical Engineering and an MS in Mechanical Engineering. Her tutoring experience includes academic support and test-prep help for the full K-12 age range.

 

She prioritizes creating a learning environment that nurtures students’ confidence and curiosity and tailors her approach to each individual’s needs and learning style. She believes in creating a personal connection so that each lesson is not only informative but also engaging and supportive. She loves sharing and simplifying subjects often perceived as complex, ensuring that students find them understandable.

 

She is well-versed in helping students stay relaxed and succeed in very high caliber academic environments, having tutored many students from Harvard-Westlake, California’s most prestigious private school.

 

Much of her tutoring insight and success is rooted in her own academic success. When she

prepared for the ACT, she self-studied and came up with strategies for conquering her testing anxiety in order to earn a perfect score of a 36 on the math, science, and reading sections. She earned a perfect score of a 5 on numerous AP Exams, including the ones for Chemistry, BC Calculus, AP Language, U.S. History, and World History.

 

Mackenzie is available for SAT, ACT, ISEE, SSAT, and SHSAT tutoring, virtually any STEM subject, and general academic help.

Away from tutoring sessions, she often immerses herself in travel and reading, activities that offer fresh insights and perspectives, which she often weaves into her tutoring.
